Socket Set Screws

Socket Set Screws are designed to lock collars, sprockets, gears and pulleys to shafts. Set screws are designed to be loaded in compression. The compression loading developed by the set screw creates the locking action. Set screws are available with diffferent point configurations including cup point, flat point, oval point, cone point, dog point and half dog point. Socket set screws conform to the dimension requirements of ASME B18.3 and the physical property requirements of ASTM F912 for alloy steel parts and ASTM F880 for stainless steel parts.
