Socket Cap Screws

Socket head cap screws or capscrews, also known as allen screws or allen bolts, are available in three main head styles: socket hex head, socket button head and socket flat head. Hex socket head cap screws have a flat chamfered top surface with smooth or knurled sylindrical sides and a flat bearing surface. Button socket head cap screws have a low rounded top surface with a large flat bearing surface. Flat countersunk socket head cap screws have a flat top suface and a conical bearing surface with included angle of 82 degrees. Socket head cap screws are available in alloy steel and stainless steel in both inch and metric sizes.
