SAE Flat Washers

S.A.E. Flat Washers were developed and specified by the Society of Automotive Engineers to meet the requirements of automotive manufacturer applications as boradly as possible. They are of smaller Outer Diameter and thinner guages or thickness than their counterpart bolt sizes of USS Flat Washers.

All listed sizes of SAE flatwashers are available in steel with either a plain or clear zinc finish. Galvanized washers are also available but not as a stock product and not in all sizes. SAE Flat Washers are available in 50 lb cartons, also known as 1/4 kegs.

ANSI Specifications allow a tolerance of plus or minus one gauge on nominal thickness of commercial washers.
