Closed Screw Std. Grommet Nut

Poly Grommets provide a low cost, positive connection for thin gauge materials while they eliminate the chance of cross-threading. The specially designed closed Poly Grommet snaps into a pre-punched square hole. As the self-threading sheet metal screw tightens, the Grommet expands and securely locks the screw and assembled parts in place. The metal screw is encapsulated by the Grommet, insulating it from electrical wiring and tubing, while it guards against thermal and moisture transfer. The sizes shown were tooled initially for some of the more common applications. Because of our unique tooling approach, these designs can vary over a wide range. Request the size you need. We are very flexible. Poly grommets can be dyed or molded in various colors. Different plastic materials can be substitued. Naturally, changes from our standard product will incur additional cost. Let us know what you need.
