Ball Stud Receptacles

Ball Stud Receptacles, also known as ball stud clips are used extensively in assemblies that require repeated disengagement. Ball stud receptacles are employed in sealing strips, access doors, furniture applications and panel fastenings. When used in panel fastenings these female socket joints or receptacles accept the ball stud when pushed into place. Since there is no direct contact between the ball stud and the panel surface, wear is eliminated. Pull out tensions depend on the material thickness of the receptacle and the ball stud used. Typically, tensions range from 3.5 pounds to 30 pounds. Ball stud receptacles are typically available in spring steel with a clear zinc finish but stainless steel parts can be ordered as well. Please see Male Ball Studs or Female Ball Studs for more details about this important matching component.
